FAQ
What do I put in my Easy Composter?
Ideally a mixture of a lot of materials go in your Easy
composter as that imports a lot of trace elements into the compost heap.
• Grass clippings weeds and leaves approximately half to two thirds that
will give you heat nitrogen and moisture.
• A sealable 5-10lt bucket is a great asset in loading your Easy composter
as you can control the ratio and quality of your compost.
• Store a 5-10lt sealable bucket close to your kitchen work space and keep
your daily food scraps remembering to cut the food scraps into fairly
small pieces.
• If you are lucky enough to get your hands on some saw dust (pine if
possible) (you could approach a furniture manufacturer and they would I am
sure, gladly fill up a Hessian bag for you.) Put in approx 5lt of saw
dust.
• Manures. Once again approx 5-10lt bucket. What kind of manures? Cow,
horse, sheep, chicken, alpaca.
• There is no hard and fast rule when making compost, remember the main
ingredient is grass clippings and the rest is what you have available or
what you can get your hands on.
