Care for your Mailbox

Stainless steel is not impervious to surface contamination and should be washed and cleaned regularly. In certain conditions it is beneficial to use a commercially available stainless steel cleaner or polish, these can give a thin protective film to the stainless to help preserve the finish.

In harsh environments (such as coastal salt spray) 316 stainless steel is generally recommended or additional protection to the stainless.
